Transport
Taking the train or bus
Lund is a train hub, with direct connections to Hamburg, Berlin, Dresden, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Gothenburg and other cities in Sweden and closest neighboring countries. Check Snälltåget, SJ, Öresundståg and the regional Pågatåg carrier services.
Lund is also served by several European bus carriers, like Flixbus and Vy buss.
Flying to Copenhagen
Lund is served primarily by Copenhagen airport in Denmark. There are direct trains from the airport to Lund central station, the trip takes under 40 minutes.
The trains between Copenhagen airport and Lund are running 24/7, every 10-20 minutes daytime and every hour between 11PM and 5AM. Tickets can be bought with a credit card at the airport arrivals hall from red ticket machines labeled "Skånetrafiken", or via the official app “Skånetrafiken” (download here: Android or AppStore). The paper ticket doesn't need validation upon entering the train, but the ticket on the app has to be activated before boarding. No ticket sales on the train.
All trains departing to Sweden from Copenhagen airport stop at Lund, but do check the information displays in case there would be some unplanned changes. The train ticket to Lund is also valid for the Lund city buses for the duration of the ticket. Just scan the barcode on the scanner inside the bus or show the ticket to the driver
Taxi and busses in Lund
Next to the central stations in Lund and Malmö there is a parking lot with taxi cars.
If you would like to book a taxi beforehand, a popular service is Taxi Skåne (phone +46 40 330 330, app on Android or App Store).
Lund central station is about 1.1 km (10-15 minutes walk) to the conference venue.
The closest public transportation stops near the venue are Biskopshuset (city bus 7) and Universitetssjukhuset (tram line 1, city busses 2, 3, 4, 6). To find schedules for the bus, tram, and Öresundståg/Pågatåg trains, use the Skånetrafiken app (Android/AppStore) (English and Swedish languages available) or the regional public transport website (Swedish and Danish languages available). The map of Lund city bus network can be found here.
