Welcome to Lund!
Getting to and around in Lund
All public transport is arranged by the operator Skånetrafiken [link to their webpage]. We recommend that you download their app for an easy way of booking and displaying tickets. Skånetrafiken also has ticket machines at major stations, including Copenhagen Airport, Malmö C, and Lund C.
From and to Copenhagen airport
Book the direct Øresund train from Copenhagen Airport to Lund via Skånetrafiken. This train also stops at stations in Malmö.
As this 40-minute journey crosses a national border you may be asked to show ID upon arrival into Sweden.
Malmö – Lund
It is about a 10-minute train ride between Malmö and Lund. Book zone tickets or select stations (for example Lund C – Malmö C) via Skånetrafiken. The tickets are valid for both Øresund trains and ‘Pågatågen’ (purple trains).
In Lund
You will find the town centre a short promenade south from the university area.
Buses depart regularly from the train station area. Both prebooked tickets (via Skånetrafiken) or tap-on debit card works.
Do as the locals do – bike! Lund is a famous city for bikes. If you want to make use of the many bike paths in and around the town, you can rent a ‘lundahoj’ (Lund bike). More information is available on their website.

Things to do in and around Lund
The Øresund Region is home to many watery attractions, including the Malmö Technology and Maritime Museum (Teknikens och sjöfartens hus), the beach at Ribersborgstranden, the Blue Planet Danish national aquarium, the canals and harbour at Copenhagen, and the Little Mermaid statue on Langelinie Pier.
In Lund, the Botanical Garden is a short walk from the conference venue. Enjoy a walk by the summer flowers and ponds or sit down for a Swedish ‘fika’ at their garden café. Lund University’s main building is just south of the conference venue, with a fountain surrounded by seasonal flowers. Related to the conference’s mythological theme, you can also spot the sphinxes on the building’s roof.
