In this paper we present results from a outdoorto-indoor MIMO measurement campaign where we study the effect of repeaters on singular values, spatial richness, capacity, and delay spread distributions. We present results from different repeater scenarios such as, e.g. different outdoor/indoor repeater deployments with ngle/dual polarized antennas. The measurements show that repeaters significantly

Our present understanding of the terminating bands in the I=40-50 spin range of 157,158Er is reviewed briefly. It is only recently that it has been possible to study states at higher spin in these nuclei, beyond band termination. Firstly, a large number of weak high-energy transitions feeding the terminating states were observed. Secondly, some collective structures that extended discrete spect

Based on the combination of two regular Gallager (Low-Density Parity-Check (LDPC)) codes, we will introduce a new code construction, called Chained Gallager codes. Following Gallager’s method we will derive a lower bound on the normalized minimum distance for the ensemble of Chained Gallager codes. Applying this lower bound on the normalized minimum distance to different transmissions schemes with

This paper presents a low-phase-noise differential bipolar Colpitts VCO, implemented in a 0.35/spl mu/m BiCMOS process. A time-variant phase noise analysis yields closed- form symbolic expressions for the dominant noise sources in the 1/f/sup 2/ phase-noise region. Measurements show a phase noise of -123 dBc/Hz at 1MHz offset from a 2.8-3.1 GHz carrier, for a figure-of-merit of 183 dBc/Hz. A very

This paper presents a fast, interactive and easily modifiable software tool for robust PID design. The Matlab based program is supposed to give people with moderate knowledge on PID control a possibility to learn more and also be a future part of an autotuner. The PID design is made by minimizing the integrated absolute error value during a load disturbance on the process input. The optimization i

Abstract in UndeterminedWe examined how hypnotizability, dissociation, alterations in consciousness, belief in success, and previous psi experiences related to performance in a ganzfeld psi task. High (n = 14) and low (n = 12) hypnotizables participated in 2 sessions. The first included measures of dissociation and alterations in consciousness during ganzfeld, whereas the second consisted of a tel

Fuel production from renewable resources will likely be a prerequisite for reducing the negative anthropogenic impact on the environment and, at the same time, ensuring future energy security. In this thesis, the conversion of typical Swedish biomass, mainly Norway spruce, to ethanol was studied. The first part of the work focused on the degradation of biomass to fermentable sugars. More specifica
