Akademiska kapellet grundades 1745 för att bidra med musik till universitetets ceremonier och är därmed landets tredje äldsta orkester. Idag är Kapellet Lundastudenternas egen symfoniorkester med ca 60 medlemmar. Dirigent och konstnärlig ledare är director musices Patrik Andersson.
