Frågeställningen är huruvida spelbolag tar hänsyn till allmänt tillgänglig information på ett effektivt sätt när de bedömer sannolikheter för matchutfall. Regressionsbaserade tester kan inte motbevisa svag och semistark effektivitet. Ett ekonomiskt test bekräftar resultatet.The efficiency of the fixed odds market for football in Italy is investigated. The purpose is to find out whether bookmakers take publicly available information into account in an effective way when predicting probabilities for match outcomes. Regression based tests fail to refute weak and semi strong efficiency. An economic test confirms the result.
